DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING

Diagnostic imaging refers to several techniques that are used for obtaining or producing clinical images.

Thanks to specific procedures, it is possible to know, explore, examine and monitor a precise area of the human body, not visible from the outside, through images.

Hemo Diagnostica sells imaging devices, such as:

    • conventional radiography
    • fluoroscopy or radioscopy, angiography, remote-controlled devices
    • computed tomography (CT)
    • mammography
    • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)

NUCLEAR MEDICINE

Hemo Diagnostica sells SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) and PET (Positron Emission Tomography) devices, which are the two most common imaging methods in nuclear medicine.

Nuclear medicine techniques involve the injection, ingestion or inhalation of radiopharmaceuticals, the quantity of which is adjusted to minimise the amount of radiation to which the patient is exposed. Radiopharmaceuticals bind to organs or tissues specifically, allowing both their structure and function to be analysed. The concentrations of the radiopharmaceutical are then analysed using special equipment that detects the radiation emission and provides images of the area to be analysed.

ULTRASOUND

Hemo Diagnostica, a partner of Siemens Healthineers Ultrasound offers users a wide range of systems that allow real-time imaging for different types of patients including those with a high BMI, without compromising image quality and potentially reducing the need for repeated scans and unclear diagnoses.

ACUSON
P500

Portable high-performance multidisciplinary ultrasound scanner for faster imaging with intuitive touch screen, all in a small package.

ACUSON
JUNIPER

It was created to cater for the growing number of complex multidisciplinary cases in diverse settings: Hospitals, Outpatient Clinics, private practices, directly at the patient’s bedside. Acuson JUNIPER ensures superior imaging performances in a single small, light, ergonomic and easy-to-use tool.

ACUSON
REDWOOD

It offers excellent imaging with superior colour quality, suppression of artefacts due to patient and probe movements and guarantees greater efficiency and reduced examination times with artificial intelligence-based tools

ACUSON
SEQUOIA

Thanks to this innovative system, deeper high-resolution imaging can be obtained without any impact on real-time performances.

A new era in elastography and contrast media allows specialist doctors to tailor their approach to patients.

Unique transducers and innovative features optimise workflow and user experience

ACUSON
Freestyle

ACUSON Freestyle™ series is the world’s first wireless ultrasound solution that redefines access to ultrasound in the operating suite and point-of-care. The series offers modular configurations to promote automated workflow, clear images and faster access to the ultrasound procedure using wireless and cable-free technologies and multimodal synchronisation.

NEUROSURGERY

Neurosurgery is the discipline that treats diseases of the nervous system surgically. Major advances in Neurosurgery result from the use of digital angiography, CT, MRI and microsurgery. The localisation of deep injuries that cannot be detected on the surface of the brain is now made possible by computerised “neuronavigation” systems.

Hemo Diagnostica offers several neurosurgery solutions:

  • Neuronavigator
  • C-arm
  • Mobile imaging robot

REHABILITATION ROBOTICS

Hemo Diagnostica sells and distributes innovative robotic devices that allow the intensity of treatments to be increased, propose more stimulating and motivating scenarios for the patient, allow customised protocols to be created and objectively measure responses, improving the outcome of each rehabilitation project.

Robotic rehabilitation using advanced technologies is beneficial to people with difficulties and deficits in upper and lower limb movements, walking problems and balance disorders. In addition, it is especially targeted at patients with neurological diseases (stroke after-effects, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord diseases).
